In God We Trust Lobbies Capitol Hill for H.R. 450, The Pray In Jesus' Name Act
The time has never been more right to finally give our military chaplains the freedom to comfort our brave men and women of the military with God’s word. That’s why In God We Trust is engaging in a full out blitz to gain cosponsors for Congressman Walter Jones’ Pray in Jesus Name Act, H.R. 450.
“The time is now,” states National Chairman Bishop Council Nedd II. “We are in the planning stages of an all-out media blitz to put pressure on Members of Congress to finally give our military chaplains the freedom to end a prayer as their conscience dictates,” continued Nedd.
In addition to In God We Trust’s national survey campaign and petition drives and constant presence on Capitol Hill, the time has come to expand our outreach program to highlight the importance of this critical piece of legislation. That’s where your help can make all the difference in this fight. “I am urging all members of In God We Trust to talk to your friends and family, fellow church members, urge them to call their Member of Congress and demand that they cosponsor H.R. 450 immediately,” concludes Bishop Nedd.
In God We Trust Eager to Get to Work in 115th Congress; Religious Freedom at Stake!
The 115th Congress has convened and with it comes great opportunity. Americans have spoken, and spoken loudly, that our country has drifted too far from its core principles and that change must be made now.
“The November elections spoke volumes on how Americans are ready for real change,” states National Chairman Bishop Council Nedd II. “It’s time to bring back the core principles that have guided this country to be the most powerful and respected nation in the world, and with that comes the word of God. I intend to keep my faithful word to every one of our supporters to fight to protect religious freedom in America.”
As the 115th Congress convenes, it is imperative that we continue to have your full support and participation over the course of the next two years. The time has never been riper on Capitol Hill to pass sensible legislation to protect religion, as well as all God-fearing Americans, and that’s exactly why In God We Trust was established.
