In God We Trust hereby bestows "The Cup of Wrath" on Fountain Valley, California School Superintendent
Marc Ecker and school board Trustee Tony McCombs for opposing the posting of America's national motto in school classrooms.
Ecker and McCombs who are charged with helping educating the children of Fountain Valley, California demonstrated
that leftist politics still can still trump commonsense when teaching America's children.
Specifically, these officias successfully fought tooth and nail to keep the national motto, "In God We Trust"
from being posted in classrooms within their jurisdiction. McCombs is quoted as saying the national motto "does
nothing to further education in Fountain Valley." Not to be outdone, Ecker proclaimed that the motto
is "dangerous and distracting."
For ignoring the historical,
moral, political and educational significance of their nation's national motto and for placing their own left-wing ideology
ahead of the needs of their students, McCombs and Ecker have earned themselves a full draught from the Cup of Wrath.
